Born in Santiago, resettled in Huaraz in 2017 for the proximity of the Cordillera Blanca. Certified IFMGA in 2019, one of a small number of South American women to hold the card.

Her file runs to 88 summits, most of them above five thousand metres. She measures acclimatisation in nights slept, not metres gained, and plans accordingly.

Leads the Andes programme. Her route cards are the tidiest in the archive; her coffee, reportedly, the strongest.
